iambic Unveils Agendus for BlackBerry
Award-Winning Personal Information Manager (PIM) Offers Seamless Integration, Ease-of-Use
and the Flexibility of Many Viewing Options
SAN JOSE, Calif., September 30, 2008 – iambic, Inc., a leading provider of innovative
productivity-enhancing software, today announced the availability of Agendus, its
award-winning Personal Information Manager for the BlackBerry platform. Now, users
of popular smartphone devices by Research in Motion (RIM) have access to a fully
integrated solution for managing calendar, contact and task information that is
easy to deploy, intuitive to use, and gets more done with fewer button taps.
A compelling attribute of Agendus for BlackBerry is its ability to work directly
with the BlackBerry's native data storage out of the box, which means instant and
seamless accessibility to PIM information no matter where it comes from (i.e. Exchange
Server, Outlook, Google, etc.).
Also, Agendus smartly adapts itself to the established colors and themes in use
by the BlackBerry for a truly seamless experience.
"There are a variety of parallels between what Research in Motion has set out to
do with the BlackBerry and what we’ve done from the start with our productivity
enhancing solutions," said Adriano Chiaretta, chief operating officer of iambic,
Inc. "This is a huge milestone for iambic and we look forward to playing a significant
role in helping BlackBerry users experience the thrill of getting more accomplished
in a way that is intuitive, efficient and fun. That’s the Agendus Way!."
One of the features that made Agendus popular on the Palm OS and Windows Mobile
platforms is the flexibility it offers users in how information is displayed. The
BlackBerry version of Agendus includes an at-a-glance view of the day ahead that
shows meetings, tasks, recent messages and calls, and over-the-air (OTA) information
such as Weather and Quote of the Day. There are also views for one day, a week (list
and grid mode), a month (expanded), as well as views for tasks and contact information
(list and expanded).
Transferring information between the desktop PIM solution and Agendus for BlackBerry
is easily accomplished via the synchronization set-up currently in use. Furthermore,
the BlackBerry version of Agendus works seamlessly with the Agendus for Windows
Outlook add-on, which enhances how the calendar, contacts, tasks and memos are viewed
(and used) on a desktop computer.
Pricing and Availability:
Version 1.0 of Agendus for BlackBerry can be downloaded and purchased from www.iambic.com
for $19.95. When purchased at the same time as the Windows desktop version of Agendus,
the price is $39.95 (a $20 savings).
Details are available at http://www.iambic.com/agendus/blackberry/.
